Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing Trusts & Estates Litigation team. This virtual position is ideal for an attorney based in El Segundo, California, with the flexibility to meet clients in person as needed. This is your chance to contribute to a dynamic team while working on complex and meaningful matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Conduct client interviews to understand their needs and objectives and provide tailored legal guidance.
  • Assist with estate and trust administration, from asset identification and valuation to distribution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on complex estate planning and trust administration issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Meet a minimum billable hour requirement of 1,800 hours per year.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California Bar (or eligibility for admission).
  • Experience in Trusts & Estates law.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and legal research skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $105,000 - $155,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Bonus Opportunities: Based on billable hour benchmarks and discretionary performance bonuses
