Attorney Specialist - Asset Management and Investment Funds

Location : Multiple U.S. Offices or Remote

Direct Counsel is partnered with an AmLaw 100 firm seeking an Attorney Specialist to join their Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice group. This permanent, non-partnership track position is ideal for lawyers with at least three years of direct experience in derivatives transactions and repurchase agreements for registered investment company clients, including mutual funds, ETFs, and closed-end funds. The role offers the flexibility to work from any of the firm's U.S. offices or remotely.

Responsibilities :

  • Support AMIF attorneys in matters related to derivatives transactions and repurchase agreements for registered investment company clients.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates on significant client relationships.
  • Manage and execute complex projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications :

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • Minimum of three years of direct experience in derivatives transactions and repurchase agreements for registered investment company clients.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing the highest quality client service.

Compensation :

Base salary ranging from $225,000 to $325,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
