Job summary

BakerHostetler seeks an experienced Attorney Recruiting Manager to lead attorney recruiting, including partner and lateral associate hiring, across our California offices. This role partners with the Director of Recruiting and office leadership to drive growth and ensure top talent joins the firm.

The position can be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco with a hybrid work model, requiring travel to regional offices as needed and close collaboration with national recruiting teams and law school

Qualifications

• 7+ years of attorney recruiting experience at a law firm or legal search firm.
• Experience managing complex lateral attorney searches and advising senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and MS Office; ViGlobal familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day lateral recruiting activities for California offices, including candidate engagement, screening, interviews, and offers.
• Partner with office and practice group leadership to identify hiring needs and develop recruiting strategies.
• Advise leadership on recruiting trends, market conditions and competitive intelligence.
• Provide guidance and supervision to the West Coast Recruiting Coordinator, including training and performance oversight.
• Support law student recruiting and summer associate programs with the broader team.
• Build and maintain relationships with leading legal search firms, industry contacts, and law school career services.
• Represent the firm at recruiting events, networking functions, and law school programs.
