Job Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating oil and gas agreements, including joint operating agreements, farmouts, federal leases, and state leases.
• Providing legal advice on oil and gas matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Collaborating with departments to identify legal issues and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conducting legal research and staying updated on oil and gas law developments.
• Representing the company in legal disputes related to oil and gas.
• Working with management to develop legal strategies aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas law, focusing on joint operating agreements, farmouts, federal and state leasing.
• Admission to a state bar.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas laws and regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
