Sedgwick is hiring an Attorney Auditor in New York to review legal and non-legal invoices in line with client guidelines, GAPS, and audit standards. You will ensure timely processing, perform reasonableness reviews, and escalate complex issues while applying established workflows.

The role requires a Law degree (J.D.) and about five years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited college or university; active law licensure preferred but not required
• Six (5) years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical and interpretive abilities; strong organizational skills

Responsabilités

• Review legal and non-legal invoices following client billing guidelines, GAPS, and audit standards
• Communicate audit findings and respond to billing inquiries from law firms
• Process assigned invoice volume with established workflows and SLAs
• Perform reasonableness reviews of invoices and document adjustments with rationale
• Use Sedgwick’s Legal Spend Management platforms to review invoices and route items
• Collaborate with managers to ensure consistency of billing guidelines and audit practices
• Identify trends or issues and escalate complex or high-risk cases
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members for guidance
• Ensure audit work meets accuracy and quality standards and may undergo secondary review
