Job summary

RemotePeople in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join a growing litigation team. This role focuses on a fast-paced, high-volume caseload with strong support staff and clear paths for advancement.

You will handle bodily injury, premises liability, and general negligence matters from intake to resolution, draft pleadings, take depositions, and coordinate with insurance carrier clients. A Texas license in good standing is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
• 2–8 years of litigation experience; insurance defense preferred.
• Strong writing, research, and independent case management skills.

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions; appear at hearings, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Communicate with insurance carrier clients and adjusters on case strategy.

• Evaluate cases for exposure, liability, and settlement value.

• Communicate regularly with insurance carrier clients and adjusters on case strategy and status
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to manage deadlines and case files efficiently
• Evaluate cases for exposure, liability, and settlement value

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas (active, good standing) — required
• 2–8 years of litigation experience; insurance defense experience strongly preferred
• Strong writing, research, and case management skills
• Ability to manage a moderate-to-high volume caseload independently
• Comfortable working directly with insurance carrier clients
