Other duties may include developing responses to tort/contract/miscellaneous claims made against DHHS, collecting debt on behalf of DHHS, procurement and contracting, discovery, and public records responses and retention.Salary: $36.792 - $55.184 per hour. Pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints, if approved.Requirements / Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience as an attorney practicing law and providing legal services such as preparing and trying cases, advising clients, and/or interpreting laws or administrative policies.Legal Requirements : In accordance with Section 7-101, Nebraska Revised Reissued Statutes of 1943, incumbents in this class must be admitted to the Nebraska Bar.Preferred Qualifications : Significant legal experience with employment and labor relations and litigation experience. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with using case management software.Knowledge, skills, and abilitiesExcellent legal research and communication skills.
