Location:

This is an in-office role based in either our Austin or Houston office.

Note:

For Austin candidates, HOA attorney experience is required. For Houston candidates, real estate litigation experience is required. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

Job Description
  • Represent clients in HOA, property owners association, real estate, and litigation matters
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to assigned clients
  • Draft, review, and amend governing documents, legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, opinions, and related legal documents
  • Advise clients on compliance, governance, disputes, collections, and real estate‑related legal issues
  • Handle real estate litigation matters, including pleadings, discovery, hearings, negotiations, and case strategy
  • Prepare and pursue judicial foreclosures when applicable
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, court briefing, and client guidance
  • Attend client board meetings, member meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings as needed
  • Supervise and work closely with legal assistants and support staff
  • Manage deadlines, client expectations, billing requirements, and multiple active matters
Qualifications
  • Active Texas law license required
  • Austin candidates must have HOA attorney experience
  • Houston candidates must have real estate litigation experience
  • 1+ year of relevant attorney experience preferred
  • Experience with court appearances, litigation, client communication, legal drafting, and case management preferred
  • Strong legal writing, research, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Professional, approachable, client‑service mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management tools
  • Ability to work full‑time in office
