This fellowship is intended to introduce attorneys to non-profit, healthcare, and in-house legal practice. Fellows work closely with experienced attorneys across diverse practice areas to gain exposure to complex legal and operational issues that support MGB’s clinical, research, and administrative missions.This position offers meaningful, hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare legal environment, including opportunities to engage directly with internal clients and contribute to work that supports patient care and organizational integrity.Key Responsibilities• Provide junior attorney-level support across multiple practice areas within the Litigation, Compliance, and Contracting Section. Practice areas include Digital, Supply Chain, Compliance, Privacy, Pharmacy, Patient Accounts, and general litigation matters.• Conduct legal research and assist with fact development.• Draft memoranda, pleadings, and legal correspondence, including responding to 93A demands to the hospitals relating to charges for services and to MGB Health Plan for denials of coverage.• Assist with third-party discovery, including responding to subpoenas or requests for testimony by providers in criminal cases, product liability matters, and child custody proceedings.
