A full-time Associate Attorney is sought for an in-person role at a San Francisco office, offering hands-on experience across all stages ofLitigation, including depositions, motion practice, and trial work. This position provides immediate, substantive litigation opportunities beyond document review. Associates manage their own cases, appear in court, take and defend depositions, and contribute to trial preparation and strategy. The role balances autonomy with mentorship from experienced trial attorneys, making it ideal for those aiming to develop into skilled litigators and build a career in employment law.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handling employment law cases from intake through resolution
  • Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial documents
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Regular court appearances and motion arguments
  • Collaborating with clients on case strategy and maintaining communication
  • Participating in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
  • Assisting in trial preparation and, when appropriate, serving as second chair at trial

Qualifications:

  • Active California Bar membership
  • 1–5 years of civil litigation experience (employment law preferred)
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage cases independently and work within a team
  • Trial preparation experience is a plus
