Our customer is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. We are seeking a contract Attorney Editor to review and update practical guidance and templates for an online legal product for attorneys, and create new content, as needed. This is a contract position involving flexible hours (assignments can be completed as your schedule permits, as long as the deadline is met). This role is 100% remote in the state of Georgia.

Part-time, 5-15 hours/week

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and revise practical guidance templates on family law documents. Review and update affidavits, agreements, and other related family law documents.
  • Supplement existing documents with state-specific, “how-to” practical guidance based on state law, local custom, and legal practice experience.

Qualifications

  • Law degree from an accredited law school
  • Member, in good standing, of the Georgia State Bar
  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing family law attorney
  • Substantive experience drafting affidavits, agreements, and other related family law documents.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and legal research skills
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Word with track changes and conducting online research
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks effectively
  • Interview process will consist of an interview and a writing assessment*
