The Office of General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a licensed attorney to join the Contracts, Information and Appropriations Law Group (CIA).

You will provide legal counsel on acquisitions, information governance, appropriations, and budgeting, including leasing and construction contracts, reporting to the CIA Associate General Counsel.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and bar admission in good standing.
• Experience in government contract law, bid protests, or related federal practice preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple matters.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal advice on source selection design, solicitation development, and contract structuring.
• Clear Justification & Approval documents and evaluation criteria for legal sufficiency.
• Support pre-award and post-award bid protests before GAO and COFC.
• Apply set-aside requirements and procurement rules to matters; draft data rights terms.
• Research complex questions and deliver actionable recommendations to leadership.
