Job description

This position is an Open Title 5 Excepted Service Non-Uniformed Personnel position, open to the Public and to Veterans following the MN National Guard Merit Placement plan.

AGENCY: MN Air and Army National Guard

LOCATION: Saint Paul, Minnesota

Membership in the National Guard is not required for employment. Competitive service employees may apply however will be converted to Excepted service if hired.

GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Duties Performed at the GS-13 or Equivalent Level. Assignments require the first professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.), active membership in the bar of the highest court of a State, Territory, or the District of Columbia, and more than two years of professional legal experience that is equal to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Additional Conditions of Employment: Must either be currently in good standing (certified) with a State Bar or able to obtain certification. Must be a graduate of an ABA-accredited law school. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) when a top-secret clearance is required. The employee is subject to random drug testing. Pre‑employment drug testing and participation in random drug testing is a condition of employment. Note: The caveat is that the States, Territories, and the District of Columbia cannot drug test until a drug free workplace policy has been established and approved by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.?
