Pillinger Miller Tarallo, a New York–based insurance defense firm with a national footprint, seeks an experienced Premises General Liability Attorney to join its growing practice. You will defend premises liability cases, manage matters from inception through trial, and deliver zealous representation to clients.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., is admitted to the New York State Bar in good standing, 3+ years of defense experience, and strong litigation and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in premises/general liability defense litigation.
• Strong litigation and case management skills.
• Proven trial or trial-prep experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Defend premises liability matters for property owners, management companies, and businesses.
• Independently manage a full caseload from inception through trial or settlement.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct depositions, site inspections, and legal research.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborate with clients, insurers, and internal teams to develop case strategies.

Insurance Defense Attorney – Premises Liability & General Liability

New York Metro Area law firm with a national presence is seeking an experienced Premises General Liability Attorney to join our expanding insurance defense practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending premises liability cases involving bodily injury claims, property damage, and related litigation. You will be responsible for handling cases from inception through resolution or trial, delivering high-quality legal representation to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Defend property owners, management companies, and businesses in premises liability matters, including slip/trip and fall claims, negligent security, and building code violations.
• Independently manage a full caseload from inception through trial or settlement.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct depositions, site inspections, and legal research.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborate with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to develop case strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of New York laws and procedures relevant to general liability claims.

Salary Range

$110,000 – $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience
