Job summary

AJ Chambers US is partnering with a Texas litigation boutique to recruit an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney. The role offers genuine courtroom exposure, including managing your own caseload with support from experienced trial lawyers.

The firm handles motor vehicle, trucking and premises liability matters and is committed to trial, offering long‑term career development and meaningful hands‑on experience.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Experience handling auto, trucking and/or premises liability matters.
• Ability to independently manage your own caseload.
• Experience attending depositions and court hearings.
• Strong legal drafting and writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach.
• Willingness to work on a hybrid basis from either the Dallas or San Antonio office.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload with supervision from trial lawyers.
• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Attend depositions and court appearances as needed.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop trial strategies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain genuine courtroom experience while managing their own caseload with the support of experienced trial lawyers.

Must Haves

• 2-4 years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Experience handling auto, trucking and/or premises liability matters
• Ability to independently manage your own caseload
• Experience attending depositions and court hearings
• Strong legal drafting and writing skills
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues
• Willingness to work on a hybrid basis from either the Dallas or San Antonio office
