Job description

A growing, well-respected law firm in Rhinelander, WI area is seeking an estate planning Attorney to join it's team. The firm has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality legal services and is looking for a motivated attorney who is interested in developing an estate planning practice while serving clients throughout the region. Candidates with prior estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, probate, or related experience will be given priority, however, the firm is also open to training the right person as well. The candidate will receive mentorship, training, and support from an experienced team.

Position Overview

This attorney will serve as a key member of the firm's Rhinelander office, working directly with clients to develop estate plans, advise families on long-term planning strategies, and help grow the firm's presence in the local community. The position offers significant autonomy, strong support resources, and a clear path for long-term professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss estate planning goals and objectives.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related estate planning documents.
• Advise clients regarding asset protection, probate avoidance strategies, and wealth transfer planning.
• Assist clients with Medicaid planning, long-term care planning, and elder law matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral sources.
• Manage matters from initial consultation through completion.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff across the firm's offices.
• Participate in community networking and business development activities as desired.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Wisconsin law license
• Estate planning, elder law, probate, Medicaid planning, or related legal experience preferred.
• Attorneys from other practice areas who have an interest in estate planning are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
