Qualifications

  • Experience in workers' compensation and/or civil litigation.
  • Strong understanding of legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.
  • Ability to provide sound, practical legal advice.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Handle workers' compensation and civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution.
  • Provide practical, strategic legal advice to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct legal research involving case law, statutes, regulations, and administrative rules.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Development of case strategies and advocacy for clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and work toward favorable resolutions.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.
  • Manage multiple cases and competing deadlines while maintaining high-quality work product.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals across the firm.
  • Continue developing substantive knowledge and litigation skills through mentoring and professional training.
  • Contribute to a professional, supportive, and team-oriented workplace culture.
