Qualifications

• JD degree and admission to the New Jersey Bar.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in litigation, business law, or a combination of both.
• Ability to independently manage matters with appropriate supervision.
• Experience or strong interest in business transactions and contract drafting.
• Excellent client communication skills with a strong sense of empathy.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workflow and priorities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate transactional documents, including asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, and related business contracts.
• Advise clients on business purchases, sales, and general business matters.
• Structure and support business transactions from letter of intent through closing.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and motions in civil litigation matters.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Manage discovery, case strategy, and client communications throughout litigation and transactional matters.
• Attend trial, hearings, arbitration, and mediation.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks for clients in both transactional and litigation contexts.
• Maintain strong, responsive client relationships and effectively manage client expectations.
