Employment Litigation Attorney – Plaintiff-Side (3+ Years)

Opportunity Summary

Mission Recruiting is conducting a confidential search for an Employment Litigation Attorney to join a growing plaintiff-side employment law practice serving clients throughout California. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for employees while handling sophisticated wage and hour, PAGA, discrimination, retaliation, and class action litigation.

The position offers a salary ranging from $110,000 to $150,000+, multiple bonus opportunities tied to case results and business development, a hybrid work schedule with the opportunity to transition to fully remote work, and meaningful responsibility managing cases from intake through resolution.

Compensation

Salary Range: $110,000–$150,000+, depending on experience

  • $110,000–$130,000 for less experienced attorneys
  • $150,000+ for more experienced attorneys
  • 3% of attorneys' fees on firm cases
  • 25% of attorneys' fees on originated matters
  • Annual discretionary bonus

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a motivated Employment Litigator to represent employees in complex workplace disputes involving wage theft, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and representative actions. This role provides meaningful responsibility throughout every stage of litigation while offering the support of an experienced legal team.

Attorneys in this position manage their own caseload while collaborating on litigation strategy, handling sophisticated employment matters, and advocating for employees seeking justice in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Represent employees in:
  • Wage and hour litigation
  • PAGA actions
  • Harassment and retaliation matters
  • Employment class actions
  • Manage cases from intake through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, mediation briefs, and trial briefs
  • Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy
  • Propound and respond to written discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Attend court appearances, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement conferences
  • Collaborate with the litigation team on case strategy
  • Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the litigation process

Recommended Qualifications

  • Active California Bar admission in good standing
  • Experience in employment litigation
  • Strong background in wage and hour litigation and representative actions
  • Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and court appearances
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong client communication and case management abilities
  • Ability to independently manage an active litigation caseload
