Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Oil & Gas Title Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Houston, TX. The role is remote with permanent status, offering a competitive salary and full benefits.

The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctorate and at least 2 years of experience drafting title opinions for lands in Texas, plus strong contract drafting skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in at least one state.
• 2+ years drafting title opinions for lands in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of oil and gas matters, including exploration, production, transportation, and sales.
• Draft title opinions highlighting defects, liens, or other issues that could impact ownership or use of the property.
• Analyze documents such as leases, contracts, and deeds.
• Advise on compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation and arbitration.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify legal risks and develop risk management strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in oil and gas law and industry trends.
• Provide training to other departments on relevant legal issues.
