Lambert Shortell & Connaughton is seeking a registered patent attorney for prosecution and litigation associate . The primary responsibilities for this position include preparation and prosecution of filing domestic and foreign patent and trademark applications. Patentability searches and opinions and client counseling on matters of patentability are also integral aspects of the position.
An ideal applicant will have experience pertaining to various aspects of patent and trademark infringement litigation (i.e., development of strategies; conducting discovery; preparing infringement and invalidity contentions, technical and damages expert witness reports, expert witnesses for deposition, trial related motions and other pleadings; cross examination of experts; drafting jury instructions, etc.). Willingness to be involved in motion practice and participate in hearings will be required.
The applicant should preferably have a technical background and/or experience in patent and trademark litigation. Experience with drafting and filing trademark office action responses with the Patent & Trademark Office is preferred. Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is required; admission to the Massachusetts, New York, or New Hampshire Bar is preferred.
