Job summary

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Active Tennessee medical license (or ability to obtain).
  • Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Interest in skilled nursing, post-acute, and long-term care medicine.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services for residents in skilled nursing facilities.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Perform admission evaluations, routine follow-up visits, and medically necessary assessments.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, rehabilitation therapists, specialists, and facility leadership.
  • Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as appropriate.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care services for residents in skilled nursing facilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform admission evaluations, routine follow-up visits, and medically necessary assessments
  • Evaluate and manage changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, rehabilitation therapists, specialists, and facility leadership
  • Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as appropriate
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation within the company EHR
Call Responsibilities
  • Participate in a structured and manageable call rotation
  • Address urgent clinical concerns through telehealth
  • Telehealth encounters provide additional earning opportunities
  • Supported processes designed to maintain a reasonable call volume
Compensation
