Qualifications

• GA licensure to practice medicine.
• Current DEA registration in good standing.
• CME licensure requirements current.
• Knowledge of health center licensing and operations in a managed care environment.
• Leadership experience in culturally and linguistically diverse settings.
• Culturally aware and sensitive to the special needs of the population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality medical care to all patients in a respectful and professional manner.
• Participate in planning, development, and organization of medical services provided.
• Develop and review medical policies related to patient care.
• Conduct physical examinations of patients upon their admission and thereafter on an as-needed basis.
• Provide ongoing medical training and education to staff as part of care planning.
• Participate in preparation for regulatory agency site visits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and city regulatory requirements.
• Order, evaluate, adjust and terminate prescriptions and discuss changes with patients.
