Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Physician to provide general medical services at the Federal Correctional Institution in Atlanta, GA. The Physician will conduct telehealth and on-site visits for the inmate population. Qualified applicants must hold an unrestricted U.S. Physician license and be graduates of an AMA-approved medical school. This position requires the ability to pass background checks and has a contract for an initial 3-month period with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, unrestricted Physician license valid in any U.S. state.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved medical school required.
• Must pass a drug screening and background investigation.
• Submission required: Resume, License, Education and training documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care in accordance with accepted standards.
• Conduct telehealth and in-person clinical encounters.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results.

• Prescribe medications and treatment plans.
• Manage chronic and acute medical conditions.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and hospitals.
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist with CPR/AED.

Position Overview

FCI Atlanta is seeking licensed Physicians to provide general medical services via telemedicine and/or on-site visits to the inmate population. Services are delivered in coordination with institutional healthcare staff.

Schedule

• Sunday – Saturday
• Between 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Not to exceed 8 hours per day without approval
• Frequency based on patient needs
