Job summary

Evergy is hiring for an Attendant Process at the Iatan Generating Station. The role focuses on water analyses, process checks, and data reporting to ensure safe and efficient treatment operations.

Required is a high school diploma with chemistry exposure and preferred BS in Chemistry, plus industrial water treatment experience. Must be able to drive as required by state law. This is an on-site position in Missouri.

• Experience with laboratory data collection and reporting.
• Chemistry education related to water purification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct water analyses and run operational checks for treatment processes.
• Inspect equipment and adjust controls; assist data collection and testing.
• Prepare reports and maintain station laboratory equipment and cleanliness.
• Operate tools and assist operations and maintenance staff as needed.
• Maintain equipment necessary for laboratory work and testing.
• Perform similar and related work as assigned.

Job Description

We are recruiting candidates for an Attendant Process at our Iatan Generating Station. Please find below a list of the minimum requirements for the position. It is important the candidates address their qualifications in the documentation submitted for consideration.

Job Duties :

• Conducts water analyses and operational checks and adjustments associated with water treatment processes, including samples to be forwarded to other laboratories.
• Conducts operational checks and inspections on water treatment and pollution control equipment and makes necessary adjustments. Assists others in collection of test data requiring laboratory techniques.
• Prepares various reports as required.
• Services, maintains and cleans equipment related to the station laboratory and chemistry related processes.
• Utilizes hand and power tools as necessary to accomplish tasks. Assists operations and maintenance personnel as needed.
• Utilizes and maintains any equipment needed to perform job.
• Performs similar and related work and less skilled work as assigned.

Experience: Three years of industrial experience related to water treatment and purification preferred

General: Must be licensed to drive as required by state law
