Indirect Attendant II - Maintenance-kdc-one Facilities Hourly

Summary:

Troubleshoots and affects repairs on all maintenance and production equipment as well as working on construction projects. Responsible for welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be proficient in the use of all hand tools.
  • Must be able to weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Must be capable of proficient brazing, silver soldering and soft soldering techniques.
  • Must be able to fabricate parts from sketches, blueprints, broken or worn parts.
  • Must have complete knowledge of all building systems and equipment (including production equipment).
  • Must be skilled in at least two (2) trades and capable of satisfactory performance in all others necessary for upkeep and operation of the plant.
  • Must be capable of precise cutting using gas torches and/or the plasma cutting system.
  • Must be capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Must be capable of troubleshooting and repairing production and facilities equipment.
  • Must be capable of estimating materials and specification of same for the purpose of initiating a purchase request.
  • Must be able to provide system or equipment schematics as requested by supervisor.
  • May be required to assist in the preparation and/or instruction of training sessions.
  • Responsible for following all safety regulations including but not limited to: wearing goggles, face shield, proper clothing, etc.
  • Must be able to work with employees of a lower classification as assigned by supervisor.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • A minimum of three (3) years of advance training or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in various trades or in-plant training in this job for the same period.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to climb ladders and become certified to operate a scissor lift to perform tasks at high elevations as needed.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have and maintain an acceptable attendance record.
    • Must be physically capable of performing tasks that will require sustained exertion.
