Job summary

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is seeking an Attendant – Housekeeping Floor to maintain hallways, stairwells, guest elevator lobbies, storage rooms and assist Housekeepers. You will stock supplies, assist with linen handling, and ensure compliance with OSHA and hotel policies.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, with US work eligibility, a high school diploma, and ability to work varied shifts including nights and holidays. Strong English communication and guest-service orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 months of hotel experience or in a similar cleaning environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas and corridors, ensuring hotel standards of cleanliness.
• Stock, organize and provide supplies/linens as needed.
• Assist housekeepers with stripping linen and removing trash from assigned areas.
• Transport soiled linen and trash to designated areas.
• Deliver and retrieve items, providing service or assistance as requested by guests and management.
• Relay accurate directions and information for guest inquiries and Venetian services and events.
• Use PPE and cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Attendant – Housekeeping Floor is to maintain hallways, stairwells, guest elevator lobbies, storage rooms and assist Housekeepers. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains all assigned area(s) and corridors, vending, elevators, landings, service areas on guest floor suites, and ensuring hotel’s standards of cleanliness.
• Stock, organize and provide supplies/linens as needed keeping par level inventories available.
• Assist housekeepers with stripping linen and removing trash from assigned area(s) as needed.
• Transport all soiled or rejected linen & trash from assigned work area(s) to designated areas.
• Delivers and retrieves items, providing service or assistance as requested by guests & management.
• Relay accurate directions and information for guest inquiries and is knowledgeable about all aspects of the Venetian Casino Resort services, features, attractions, promotions and special events.
• Uses PPE & correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations & hotel requirements.
• Proper performance requires maintaining familiarity with policies and procedures of the department.
• Ongoing compliance with policies and procedures of the department is required.
• Physical and mental dexterity is required to accomplish all tasks associated with the completion of an exceptional housekeeping service.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

• Possess skills to expedite, process & perform service, evaluating information, and acting based upon available information to complete tasks & assignments efficiently & effectively.
• Use of equipment, tools or systems related to proper performance of service is required.
• Ensure ongoing security of assigned keys/equipment.
• Review & update completed assignments in real time, communicate with Manager and Housekeepers in ongoing fashion throughout the shift.
• Knowledgeable about Venetian Resort features, attractions, promotions and events.
• Communicates accurate directions, supporting & providing guests with information as needed.
• Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work area(s) including the front of house, as well as the back of house area(s) assigned.
• Always provide unmatched service to guests & team members.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Safety is an essential function of this job.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years of age.
• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license, as required by law or policy.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.

Physical Requirements

Must be able

• Lift or carry 75 pounds, unassisted and be able to push up to 325 pounds (fully loaded maid cart) in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
• Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
• Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
• Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel
• Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
