Job summary

Bally's Corporation in Evansville, IN is seeking a reliable cashier for our deli. You will maintain deli cleanliness, operate the POS, and package guest orders in a busy casino setting.

The role requires standing 7+ hours, following safety policies, handling cash, and delivering excellent guest service. We offer benefits like 401(k), medical/dental/vision, paid time off and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in cashiering or restaurant industry preferred.
• Strong organization, time management, teamwork, hospitality and customer service skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the deli, utensils, cooking devices and counter areas.
• Operate a cash register or POS system and receive payments from guests, making change and issuing receipts.
• Follow the company's cash handling procedures.
• Stock condiments and supplies for guests and deli area.
• Fill and rotate products and displays.
• Package products ordered by guests.
• Handle damaged/spoiled products per policy and assist with spoilage control.
• Receive and unload merchandise; verify deliveries and inspect quality.
• Notify management of low inventory or spoilage.
• Comply with safety policies; operate deli equipment and appliances.
• Stand and walk for 7+ hours; work varied hours including holidays/weekends.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the Deli, utensils, cooking devices and counter areas.
• Must operate a cash register or POS system and receives payments of cash, credit/debit cards from guests, making change and issuing receipts to guests.
• Must understand and follow the company's cash handling procedures.
• Ensure condiments and supplies are stocked for guests and deli area.
• Filling, maintaining and rotating products and displays.
• Selecting and packaging products ordered by guests.
• Handle damaged and spoiled products according to the company's policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
• Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise. Check and verify receiving to ensure that items listed on vendor invoices are all delivered. Check products for quality, count, and condition.
• Ensure Manager is aware of low inventory conditions or spoilage problems.
• Comply fully with the company's safety policies and procedures.
• Operating cash registers, meat and cheese slicers, oven, fryer, microwave, cutting tools, scale, and other Deli equipment including the coffee and espresso machines.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
• Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
• Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time.

Work Environment

The Casino industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation. This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures. Occasional exposure to outdoor climates.

Target Salary Range

Hourly $13.00
