Overview
Under the supervision of the Supervisor - EVS, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining public and team member areas in a clean, sanitary, and attractive condition.
Responsibilities

- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati for gaming entertainment; actively builds and retains guest relations; mentors team members to provide superior guest service.
- Collects and removes trash; cleans carpeted areas; removes gum and carpet spots; vacuums upholstered furnishings and fabric; repositions furniture and equipment after cleaning.
- Sweeps, dust mops, vacuums, and wet mops hard surface floors.
- Cleans and dusts all surfaces: walls, doors, hardware, furnishings, door glass, display cases, etc.
- Stocks, cleans, and sanitizes restroom fixtures and surfaces.
- Works cooperatively with supervisors and all other team members; complies with department procedures, schedules, and standards of performance.
- Observes and reports needed maintenance to buildings, fixtures, and equipment; reports any loss, damage, or breakage of property or safety threats.
- Assists in emergency clean-ups and provides coverage for absences.
- Attends and participates in meetings.
- Performs work regularly and predictably.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or related janitorial experience. Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Requirements:
- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours.
Knowledge Of
- Basic hand and power tools and testing equipment.
- Guest service and communication skills.
- Janitorial duties.
Ability To
- Work varying shifts and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with employees and guests.
- Handle hazardous cleaning chemicals safely.
- Use powered cleaning equipment.
Additional Details
- Frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, talking, hearing, and smelling. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Work environment is hectic, noisy, and crowded, with exposure to secondhand smoke and other casino-related factors.
- Effective communication in English required.
