Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, as per supervisor’s instructions.
  • Supervise clients during activities to ensure safety.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, guidelines, and legal requirements.
  • Report significant changes in the client’s environment, behavior, or circumstances to the supervisor.
  • Monitor the client’s environment for safety hazards and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
  • Must have a pleasant and cheerful demeanor, and demonstrate helpfulness, especially in stressful situations.
  • Ability to effectively carry out duties, cooperate with team members, and support colleagues.
  • Personal assistance services as defined in TAC 40 Chapter 97, performed by individuals at least 18 years old with demonstrated competency.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions.
  • Complete required training and meet competency standards.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting, and standing for over 75% of the shift.
  • Ability to recognize differences in sounds and exercise patience, tact, and confidentiality.
  • Work independently with awareness of the importance of accuracy and safety.
  • Ability to observe and recognize changes in a client’s condition.
