The Surgery Center of Huntsville is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the Anesthesiologist and Nurse Anesthetist by preparing and setting up the equipment and supplies for each surgical case. This on-site role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a busy operating room.

Anesthesia Technician supports the Anesthesiologist and Nurse Anesthetist by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains established standards of care, policies, goals and objectives in assisting the professional nursing staff and anesthesia to care for the patients presented to The Surgery Center of Huntsville.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferably experience in a surgery center setting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be flexible in hours worked; must be able to endure long periods of standing or sitting or walking; may require bending and stooping, lifting and transporting of patients. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity; must be able to distinguish letters or symbols with normal vision range. May be exposed to communicable diseases and/or exposed to minimal amounts of radiation. Work area is well lighted and well ventilated; contact with staff and patients required.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Must be accomplished in the use of all equipment and materials required for assisting the nursing staff and anesthesia in assigned duties. Must be adept in wheelchair and stretcher safety.
