Job summary

North Canyon HS in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an Attendance Clerk II to manage the attendance office and ensure accurate attendance accounting for the Paradise Valley Unified School District.

The role is 9.5 months, 8 hours per day, at Grade 14 with a pay rate of $15.94 per hour. Start date is 11/10/26 and End Date is 05/28/27. This non-interim position reports to the Building Administrator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal Background Clearance
• Valid DPS fingerprint clearance

Responsibilities

• Communicates with parents/guardians regarding student absences and related matters.
• Inputs data into attendance and enrollment databases to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains automated attendance system for tracking and reporting.
• Oversees attendance issues (early dismissals, late arrivals) per guidelines.
• Prepares attendance reports and related materials for district use.
• Researches discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
• Responds to questions from staff, parents, students for information and guidance.
• Supervises assigned personnel to improve department productivity.
