Job summary

sg360 is seeking an Attaching Mechanic for 2nd shift (2pm–10pm) and 3rd shift (10pm–6am) to operate and support production equipment with a strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities include setting up multifeeders, plows, precision components and glue systems, clearing jams safely, powering equipment, and maintaining proper documentation for all shift activities.

Qualifications

• Safely remove jams from equipment without damage or injury.
• Safely power up/down equipment.
• Identify glue requirements and keep glue tanks filled.
• Communicate requirements with team members, supervision and maintenance.
• Complete required production line documentation and report to supervisor.
• Respond to QC alerts with appropriate actions (supervision, setup, or maintenance).
• Alert supervisor to excessive downtime and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Understand all positions on the production line to assist others.

We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our Attaching department as an Attaching Mechanic. Our company is seeking Attaching Mechanics for 2nd shift (2pm to 10pm) and for 3rd shift (10pm to 6am). These individuals are expected to operate and support production equipment with a high level of technical competence and safety awareness. They will be responsible for setting up multifeeders, plows, precision components, and glue systems, as well as safely clearing jams and performing proper equipment power‑up and shutdown procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Be able to set up multifeeders, plows and precision equipment as well as set up glue systems.
• Be able to safely remove a jam from equipment without risk or injury or damage to the equipment.
• Know how to safely power up/down the equipment.
• Know how to identify glue required, and keep the glue tanks properly filled.
• Be effective at communicating requirements with other team members on attaching jobs, supervision, and maintenance.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed on the production line for all team members and turned in to the supervisor.
• Respond to QC alerts and concerns with the required measures to satisfy the situation by requesting the right assistance (supervision, setup, or mechanical technician, etc.).
• Alert supervisor to any condition where excessive downtime is being experienced.
• Lead initiative to keep the area clean and safe throughout the shift.
• Knowledge of all positions on a production line to assist in others understanding their roles and performing them.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Ability to stand or walk for entire shift.
• Position requires some mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
