Job Description

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Environmental Service Worker on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for general cleaning of interior building areas, including classrooms, restrooms, offices, public spaces, entryways, patient care facilities, lobbies, conference rooms, study rooms, and research and simulation labs. The position also involves maintaining exterior entrances, such as trash removal, sidewalk cleaning, and lobby door cleaning. Additionally, the worker will assist with special event setups and teardowns, which may require occasional night and weekend shifts.

The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $20.00, depending on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean designated interior areas, including dusting, wiping surfaces, sinks, countertops, desks, chairs, windows, fixtures, and ledges.
• Perform detailed cleaning of restrooms.
• Clean hard surface and carpeted floors.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
• Restock supply carts, closets, and designated areas.
• Move and set up furniture as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to move freely within a building, including navigating stairs and ramps.
• Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and proactively complete tasks.
• Adaptability to changing work assignments and priorities.
