In this senior-level role, you'll use your strong electronics and troubleshooting skills to maintain sophisticated flight simulation systems, diagnose and repair equipment, support simulator certification, and help ensure our devices remain compliant with FAA requirements. You'll also serve as a technical resource for other technicians and have the opportunity to take a lead role in maintenance activities and projects.
Perform scheduled, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance on flight simulators and associated systems.
Troubleshoot complex electronic and simulator system issues using a variety of diagnostic and test equipment.
Diagnose problems, determine appropriate corrective actions, and complete repairs to return simulators to service.
Participate in simulator design changes, modifications, and upgrades to maintain and improve device performance and compliance.
Support FAA simulator certification and recertification activities.
Serve as a technical resource and provide on-the-job training and guidance to assigned technicians.
Perform lead-level functions and help coordinate maintenance activities as needed.
Support simulator logistics, including equipment, parts, tools, and other resources necessary to keep operations running smoothly.
Work closely with other team members to identify issues, resolve problems, and minimize simulator downtime.
Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
6+ years of flight simulator maintenance experience, including formal military or vocational simulator training.
Strong electronics background with hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience.
Ability to safely and effectively operate test equipment used for system troubleshooting and repair.
Ability to operate computers and related peripherals.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools and equipment in confined or small spaces.
Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
Preferred:
8+ years of flight simulator maintenance experience.
Experience maintaining B767 and/or B757 flight simulators.
Experience supporting simulator certification, recertification, modifications, or upgrades.
Previous experience providing technical guidance or training to other technicians.
