Job summary

Phase 3 Marketing and Communications is seeking a junior to mid-level PHP Application Developer to join our Atlanta team. This in-office role focuses on building custom PHP applications, working with frontend technologies like Javascript and CSS, and interfacing with MySQL databases and external APIs.

Not a Wordpress role, we value clean, well‑architected code and collaboration with cross‑disciplinary teammates.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of PHP backend development.
• 1+ years of frontend development.
• 1+ years of professional development and portfolio work.
• General understanding of the PHP language; able to write native, non-framework PHP.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and responsive web design.
• Exposure to or familiarity with source control (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a team environment.
• Ability to analyze, design, implement and integrate functional requirements.
• Ability to research and solve complex design requirements.
• Ability to analyze code, understand implications of changes requested and refactor or rewrite code.

Responsibilities

• Work with the development team on internal and external projects.
• Maintain existing functionality and develop new functionality within our internal, custom-built ERP system.
• Maintain existing functionality and develop new functionality within our internal, custom-built MediaLink system.
• Help define functionality requirements based on new project needs.
• Use industry standard tools, including but not limited to the LAMP platform, Javascript, and both modern HTML & CSS.
• Help to bring continued efficiencies to the company.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
