Job summary

Swissport, a global aviation services provider, is seeking a Lead Cargo Agent to organize warehouse operations, manage air cargo handling, and ensure adherence to safety and SOP standards. The role involves coordinating with airlines, supervising subcontractors, and maintaining quality across cargo activities.

The position offers full-time employment with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour and benefits including health insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure that financial targets are met in line with the operational plan.
• Establish and maintain a high-quality standard in the cargo operation; ensure that workflows are constantly improved to cope with competitive requirements.
• Ensure that all subcontracted cargo services providers are closely supervised.
• Ensure price increases.
• Maintain close and effective business relationships with customer airline’s management.
• Maintain a good working relationship with authorities such as Airport Management, Customs, Immigration, etc.
• Identify root causes of problems and institute corrective actions.
• Generate detailed reports and summaries of operations.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to operational performance.
• Ensure effective planning methods and procedures are in place and that there are adequate resources to meet operational requirements.
• Oversee and manage employee performance as well as implement required training.

Job Summary

Lead Cargo Agent organizes warehouse and storage facilities; arranges warehouse handling equipment and loads/unloads air cargo, while maintaining the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.
