Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Visual Media Producer for Athletics | Digital Media. You will manage all aspects of video boards for events, rapidly edit footage for in-game and post-game features, and coordinate with the Big Ten Network for highlight sharing and rights distribution.

The role requires editing expertise, knowledge of post-production techniques, and the ability to supervise student assistants, with evenings and weekends expected and a possible background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Considerable experience in video production services, preferably in a sports environment.
• Experience and knowledge of field and studio production techniques.
• Knowledge of post production techniques including inter-format, non-linear and high-end digital editing as well as digital composition.
• Knowledge and experience with video graphics software including Adobe Photoshop, Premier, Avid and After Effects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and preparation for department video boards at events.
• Quickly acquire, edit, and package footage for in-game and post-game features.
• Consult with the Big Ten Network and manage rights distribution for highlights.
• Assist network television with feed and footage needs.
• Schedule and supervise student assistants; establish staffing for video coverage.
• Capture footage of practices, competitions, and press conferences; cover events.
• Lead staffing and training for video board and event coverage.
• Evening and weekend work required; background check may be needed.
