Job summary

Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Nutrition to lead and shape its nutrition program for Cyclone student-athletes. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years related experience; RD with CDR.
• Must have and maintain licensure as a Licensed Dietitian in Iowa.
• Experience in sports nutrition program leadership is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead business operations for Performance Nutrition including planning, forecasting, education, and fiscal oversight of a roughly $4 million budget.
• Serve on the Sports Medicine, Performance, and Welfare leadership team and collaborate with internal/external partners.
• Direct meal planning, Stark Performance Center Nutrition Center operations, and liaison with the nutrition center vendor.
• Supervise full-time staff and student interns; foster a trust-based, confidential environment for student-athletes.
• Provide dietetic assessments and counseling; oversee nutrition education and programming; contribute to recruiting and clinical supervision.
