Job summary

Beaufort County School District's River Ridge Academy in Bluffton is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director to support the athletic program, assist the Athletic Director, and promote student-athlete development in a part-time capacity.

Responsibilities include coordinating contests, planning practice schedules, ensuring safety compliance, enforcing conduct rules, and facilitating equipment purchases while collaborating with staff, students, and families.

Qualifications

• Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• Knowledge and/or background in the assigned sport.
• Teaching certificate and experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize athletics as a supplemental program to support the academic mission of the school.
• Assist the Athletic Director in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests.
• Assist in planning and scheduling a regular program of practice in season.
• Assist in oversight of safety conditions in the facility where the sport is conducted.
• Enforce code of conduct standards and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
• Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies, uniforms, etc. as appropriate.
