Job summary

Fresno State Athletic Corporation seeks an Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations to lead facilities and event operations, oversee equipment room and IT in Athletics, and supervise sport programs for optimal student-athlete experiences.

The role focuses on operational excellence, fiscal stewardship, and cross‑department collaboration to enhance facilities, competitive scheduling, and fan engagement at Fresno State athletics.

Qualifications

• NCAA rules knowledge and athletics operations experience.
• Experience supervising staff and/or head coaches, including performance management.
• Knowledge of strategic planning and budget principles with fiscal accountability.
• Knowledge of home athletic event operations, including safety and game-day execution.
• Strong scheduling, contest agreements, and sport program logistics understanding.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal and communication skills with coaches, student-athletes, campus partners, and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to student-athlete welfare, diversity, equity, inclusion, and positive athletics culture.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data for strategic decisions.
• Ability to evaluate program service delivery methods and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of facilities and event operations for all home competitions.
• Oversee facilities operations, equipment room operations, and IT staff support for Athletics.
• Direct supervision of assigned sport programs and manage scheduling, budgeting, and coach development.
• Collaborate with coaches, student-athletes, campus partners, and external stakeholders to align with institutional priorities.
• Lead budget management, purchasing processes, and fiscal training for coaches and staff.
