Job summary

Colby College’s Athletics Department is seeking a part-time athletics operations intern (Papadellis Intern) to support day-to-day needs, including event and facility operations, equipment services, fan engagement, student supervision, and championship hosting. The position offers hands-on experience within a Division III athletics program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of home athletic events.
• Support game-day operations by coordinating with officials, visiting teams, coaches, and staff.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student employees for athletic events.
• Assist with equipment-room operations, including inventory and maintenance of equipment and apparel.
• Prepare team and event equipment for practices, competitions, and travel.
• Support facility operations through inspections, scheduling, and upkeep.
• Assist with fan engagement initiatives and in-game entertainment.
• Contribute to safe, welcoming experiences for spectators and visiting teams.
• Support administration of conference and NCAA championship events hosted by Colby.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as needed.
