JOB SUMMARY

Head Coach Men’s Basketball

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the head coach will oversee all aspects of the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball program, including coaching, recruiting, maintaining academic standards, ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations, student retention, managing scholarships and budgets, fundraising, organizing practices, and developing the season schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred. Coaching experience at the collegiate level or higher is necessary.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under California law, requiring compliance with CSU Executive Order 1083. A satisfactory background check, including a criminal records check, is required before employment. Failure to pass this check may result in withdrawal of the job offer. Current employees applying for campus positions will also undergo background checks where legally required or deemed necessary for safety and security reasons.
