Job summary

Oakton Community College is seeking an Athletics Game Day Assistant to help coordinate and execute game day operations across Des Plaines and off-site venues. The role supports staff and students, ensuring events run safely and per NJCAA and departmental policies.

The position requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with the Director of Athletics and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• One year of college or high school game day experience is required.
• Experience with game management technology and computer literacy is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training, supervision, and evaluation of game day staff and student employees.
• Create weekly work schedules for game day staff and student employees.
• Coordinate game management for home contests including setup and teardown of equipment.
• Schedule filming and livestreaming of home athletic events via Hudl and Gamechanger.
• Act as game administrator for select home events.
• Assist in collecting vendor documentation for payment of officials.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
