Fountain Valley School of Colorado is seeking a dynamic Director of Athletics to lead all athletic programs, including CHSAA sports and signature activities. This role reports to the Head of School and drives safety, policy, and strategic planning.

The position emphasizes supervising coaches, managing budgets, promoting athletic excellence, and coordinating with admissions and academics to integrate programs into the school culture.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or related qualification required; advanced degree and experience with coaching and working with students and adults in an independent boarding/day school environment preferred.
• Experience in athletic program management, scheduling, and safety procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration with faculty and families.

Aufgaben

• Oversee traditional and non-traditional athletic programs and CHSAA sports.
• Manage department budget and resource allocation.
• Recruit, evaluate, and develop coaches and afternoon activities staff.
• Plan and monitor all afternoon programs with the Head of School.
• Promote athletic achievements and coaching excellence school-wide.
• Ensure CHSAA compliance across the department.
• Coach one season of athletics/afternoon activities.
• Supervise and mentor department staff and student-athletes.
