Oak Knoll seeks a part-time (up to 25 hours a week) Athletics Coordinator starting in August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
The Athletics Coordinator provides vital administrative and operational support to the Athletic Department, ensuring the seamless execution of daily athletic programs and student‑athlete experiences. This role focuses on logistics, communication, and site coordination to uphold “The Royal Way” — the school’s commitment to leadership, character, wellness, excellence, and community.
Logistics and Coordination
- Coordinate and confirm daily transportation for practices and games.
- Manage the weekly athletics schedule in collaboration with the Athletic Department.
- Confirm all athletic contests and coordinate with opponents to ensure all gameday details are finalized.
- Ensure officials are scheduled for all home contests and assist with processing payments and tournament fees.
Administrative Support
- Maintain the online athletics calendar and submit updates to the school website.
- Assist with the collection and organization of required seasonal paperwork and online feedback forms from student‑athletes.
- Support the onboarding process for new coaches.
- Maintain and manage uniform and equipment distribution and collection seasonally.
Gameday and Site Management
- Provide site supervision for athletic contests as determined by the Athletic Director, including evenings, weekends, and over breaks/holidays.
- Ensure facilities are prepared for home games and oversee gameday operations to provide a positive experience for players and spectators.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in athletics as a player, coach, or administrator is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and moving parts in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively partner with coaches, parents, students, and staff.
- Physical Requirements: may require sitting at a computer screen for an extended period of time; may also be required to stand and lift/move heavy items as part of gameday operations.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes afternoon and evening hours beginning in August.
