Job summary

California State University, Bakersfield is seeking an Athletic Communications Assistant to support CSUB Athletics with communications, statistics, and digital content. You will help produce press materials, manage game notes, rosters, and social media content while ensuring adherence to NCAA and conference guidelines.

Under supervision of the Associate Athletics Director, you will also assist with media relations, live stats, and coordinating interviews.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Create and/or assist in creating engaging content for press releases, newsletters, websites, social media, and internal communications.
• Maintain sports information files and digital content including photographs, game notes, event results, and biographies.
• Coordinate delivery of promotional communications through social/digital media and other external channels.
• Assist with statistics, game notes, and postgame reporting for assigned sports.
