Job summary

Lake Park High School District 108 is seeking a Boys Basketball Assistant Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a seasonal stipend position with duties defined by the head coach and Athletic Director, under IHSA rules.

Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the activities of the boys' basketball program, assisting with practice planning, game day duties, and student-athlete development. Immediate availability; position open until filled.

Qualifications

• NFHS certification is required; ASEP certification accepted as an alternative.
• Teacher or substitute licensure is acceptable; substitute license must be registered in DuPage County.
• Previous coaching experience is preferred.

Description

Coaches supervise and coordinate the activities of competitive athletic teams in accordance with the rules of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and School District 108 policy. They serve the District under the direction of the head coach and the Athletic Director/IHSA Official Rep.

Salary

$6,606 to $11.381 based on prior paid contract experience per Appendix E: Co-Curricular Salary Schedule (Level B) in the District 108 Negotiated Agreement
