Job summary

Purdue For Life Foundation is seeking an Assistant Director-Annual Giving (Development Specialist-Athletics) to manage a portfolio of approximately 500 mid-level donors and major gift prospects. You will lead with fundraising outreach, cultivate new donors, and support premium sales and stewardship efforts within the Athletics Department.

The role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and project management, with some travel and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Sports Management/Administration, Hospitality and Tourism management or related field.
• Minimum of two years of fundraising, sales, marketing, and customer service.
• Athletic fundraising or sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reach out to donors and prospects to secure donations and ticket renewals/sales primarily through phone calls, face-to-face visits and emails.
• Identify new and cultivate/steward existing introductory-to-high level athletics donors.
• Serve as primary athletics contact for a portfolio of approximately 500 mid-level annual donors and major gift prospects.
• Meet and exceed personal fundraising metrics and contribute to team goals.
• Assist with Athletic Department’s premium sales and stewardship management needs.
• Advance the John Purdue Club (JPC) membership, marketing, and communications efforts, while furthering the overarching Athletics Department goal of developing student-athletes into scholars, champions, and citizens.
• Some travel and weekend work required.
