Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee the maintenance of Indiana University's athletic fields, including various turf types and practice areas.

You will manage daily schedules, provide training to workers on turf care, and ensure fields are maintained effectively. Required qualifications include a high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years of nursery, greenhouse, and/or landscape work.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured upon date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of athletic fields including mowing and treatment.
• Organize daily activities of turf maintenance workers.
• Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies inventory.
• Provide training to employees on turf maintenance and safety protocols.

Skills

Ability to work safely and efficiently

Strong verbal communication and listening skills

Ability to lead, plan, and organize work

Knowledge of maintaining and planting ornamental trees, flowers, and shrubs

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of plant identification and pest control

Ability to operate technology including electronic work orders

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's of Science in Agronomy and Sports Turf
